Yosuke was born as an only child, his mother a warrior of the Valkyries and his father being the owner of a large market that tried to fill the needs of the people in any way possible. It grew to be a little more popular than some of the other markets in the tree, and garnered some negative attention from some of the other residents. But all in all Yosuke's childhood life was pretty good- he helped his dad out with the business, had his own fun around Citadel when he wasn't working, learning the basic script to be able to read and write to help fill orders and support the family while his mother was out on business. However, Yosuke is smaller in build for a Valkyrie, lean and not quite as muscular as the rest. He is still a strong kid, but he doesn't do intensive labor like some of the others do in Citadel since the business they run leans more on the shop side rather than something like carpentry. He catches some flack for that, and isn't as popular with kids his age due to the family business, being a little awkward, and just being a smaller guy in general.
And then there's the conflict of Gigas. He'd heard about their siege on Caldera, and what if they want to come to Citadel next? There's something that burns inside of him when he thinks about it. He's not sure how he can help, but he's always had this nagging feeling that he might actually be a little different from everyone else. Usually he blows it off and tells himself he's being dumb and that he's not really anything special, that there's no way he could be anything more than a normal guy, and certainly not an Enlightened. He did find himself a pair of weapons, two larger-sized kunai that he thought would make him look completely badass just in case he ever had to use them if something did threaten Citadel and he did end up having to fight. He's certain the women could handle it, but better safe than sorry.
Plus, he's not so sure if this is what he wants with his life. Being pushed into a pigeonhole of having to fill this particular role in society really sucks, and is really boring. He'd like to get out and see the world, and with Union helping Citadel in their time of need against the giant fire pokémon that attacked, it gave him a sight that there's more out there to see. A new exciting world to explore. The idea of leaving Citadel freaks him out a little bit, but there's another sense of excitement that pushes him to want to leave the tree. He'll get his wish, but it comes in the form of something he's not so excited about- his dad wants to go to Union to open a branch of their store since it's so popular. And with meat being rarer in Union, he to open up a meat market there (which his father will want to expand on slowly.) So, he's dragging his teenage son along for the ride, leaving their store back in Citadel under the supervision of the assistant for the time being until his dad feels it's okay to leave the store to Yosuke.
But with the rising forces of Gigas rearing their head once more, it seems he's gotten into something much bigger than himself- and must work to learn who and what he really is.

Level Distribution
Yosuke- 5 levels
Fuzzball- 5 levels
He trained minimally in preparation for the assault on Sanctuary. He didn't have the full week, nor is he very good at it or knows how to train properly, so he and his pokémon only gained 5 levels.
Week 73 Intensive Search
He went out into Verdant Forest to find another pokémon and unfortunately stumbled across the very same Scyther that attacked his Bidoof and himself.
Week 74 "Intensive Training"
Unfortunately, Makie was still hurt so she couldn't participate, but Bidoof and Yosuke took a little time to train out in the forest. To Yosuke's surprise, his little Bidoof evolved in the middle of a fight, and he was excited to see what his new pokémon could do. However, they got tired pretty quickly, and called it quits since Yosuke still had to go back and work at Junes.
Yosuke- 3 levels
Fuzzball- 5 levels
Week 75 "Intensive Training"
Same as last week, except Makie was able to come out and join them. Happy to get her scythes going again, she gave Fuzzball and Yosuke a run for their money. He's exhausted from Makie working him to the bone, but Fuzzball seems pretty happy, and the two pokémon seem to be getting along a lot better than their first meeting. Especially now that Fuzzball has evolved.
Yosuke- 4 levels
Fuzzball- 8 levels
Makie- 8 levels
Week 76 Intensive Training
Yosuke went out with Mami Tomoe, one of the ace Valkyries from Citadel for a little training session. He learned a lot more about fighting, what do to in hand to hand combat, among other things. Unfortunately, between work and spending most of his time with Mami training, his pokemon didn't get as much of a chance to train as he did.
Yosuke- 6 levels
Fuzzball- 4 levels
Makie- 4 levels
Week 77 Intensive Training
Being a little more inspired to work harder, he put his best foot forward to really try to get better. The talk he had with Mami helped his confidence, having believed since growing up in Citadel that men weren't really meant for battle. Makie was proud of him too, and gave him a good fight. Fuzzball however, was more concentrated on trying to find a lady this week, so he didn't work as hard.
Yosuke- 7 levels
Makie- 7 levels
Fuzzball- 3 levels
Week 78 Intensive Training
Earlier in the week, Yosuke went out to Refuge, but on his way he'd evolved and come into his abilities as a Windblessed. Fired up by the realization that he wasn't a normal guy like he originally thought, he came back to training with a different attitude. A better one, with the want to expand and explore his new abilities. But he knows that the only way to do that is to get chased around by a Scyther all day or be used as target practice by a Bibarel. All three of them worked hard this week.
Yosuke- 6 levels
Makie- 6 levels
Fuzzball- 6 levels
Week 79 Intensive Training
With the visit from Suicune and the news that it brought to both he and Yukiko, Yosuke put forth his best foot this week. Being told by a god themselves about the dangers suspected from Gigas gave him the motivation to work harder. Fuzzball, on the other hand, took some time off because Makie wanted to take advantage of her trainer's sudden burst of motivation.
Yosuke- 8 levels
Makie- 6 levels
Fuzzball- 2 levels
Week 80 Intensive Training
Wanting to become stronger, their training continued. The incident in the caves where Yosuke faced the worst side of himself, and helping others with their own struggles took a toll and pushed him even more.
Yosuke- 6 levels
Makie- 6 levels
Fuzzball- 6 levels
Week 81 Normal Week
Wanting to take a little bit of a break, he and Teddie went out to the Archipelago for a small vacation. However, their rest time was interrupted by a Noibat.
Yosuke- 3 levels
Makie- 3 levels
Fuzzball- 3 levels
Week 82 Intensive Training
After addressing the issues presented by Suicune and the discovery of Mega Evolution from Diancie, Yosuke has decided to try to organize a expedition in hopes of finding the city of Gigas, to head out past Sanctuary. He's begun his preparation for the trip, knowing it would be dangerous. Hertz, the Noibat he'd bonded with at the Archipelago, joins the team but is very timid. Makie sees this newcomer as a threat, and works even harder than everyone else. Fuzzball, of course, would much rather go check out the girls.
A surprise came after their training, when Hertz evolved- probably to keep Makie from picking on him.
Yosuke- 2 levels (max level!)
Makie- 11 levels (max level!)
Fuzzball- 6 levels
Hertz- 3 levels
Week 83 Normal Week
Training continued as normal, with Yosuke focusing more on his skills with his kunai and improving his speed even more. Trying to keep up with a Scyther is tough work, and Makie has been focusing her attention on him as the other two aren't quite as fast as Yosuke. Fuzzball and Hertz rounded out their own training, maxing their levels out as well.
Fuzzball- 2 levels (max level!)
Hertz- 6 levels (max level!)
Week 84 Dream World Intensive Search
Yosuke had heard rumors of the Dream World that Darkrai and Cresselia had opened up for the people of Union. He decided to enter it this week, in hopes of finding some kind of super cool pokémon he could use to show off. The world was intriguing itself, but he came out of it empty handed.
Week 85 Normal Week
The World Fair had kept Yosuke occupied most of the week, but his pokémon wasn't having any of that. Makie forced him to go out and do some intensive training out in the Canyon one night this week, despite his protesting that he'd rather be at the fair. A curious Kabuto watched on, and wandered into their area wondering why this Scyther seemed like she was trying to kill the human that had come with her. It ended up joining them, must to Yosuke's confusion- and he came home with a new companion.
Tomo- 12 levels
Week 86 Intensive Training
Yosuke took the week off, from training and everything. Working, spending time with friends, he felt like he deserved it. Plus the week prior was hectic enough, and he didn't feel like it anyway. Makie and Tomo trained, and when they came back Yosuke was in for a huge surprise to see another bladed pokémon showing up at the end of the week.
Tomo had evolved. His life was now over.
Tomo- 24 levels
Week 87 Intensive Training
Makie made him pay for blowing her off the previous week, so he was pretty sore. Yukiko did help for one day, getting a whole week's worth of training in one day and would heal him through it so he didn't hurt the next day, but that wasn't good enough for Makie.
Tomo- 4 levels (max level!)
Week 88 Normal Week
Yosuke and Mami took a trip out to Citadel for a few days or so, so he'd gotten lucky due to going for 'work'. His pokémon did their own training this week, and when Yosuke came back he did a little bit to keep his battle-hungry pokémon satiated.
Week 89 Normal Week
Regular training ensued this week. Thankfully there were no extenuating circumstances to make it more horrible than it usually is.
